Welcome to Free from Panic. My name is Lori and this site, part of my ministry, my life really. It is a testimony to what God can do in a women's life that has been dealing with severe depression, panic disorder, fear, and related issues for many years of her life.
The purpose of Free from Panic is to offer support, encouragement, and even inspire others that know about the pit of depression, the fright of constant anxiety or panic attacks, and the fear of not being able to go outside their home.
I am a Christian and I can tell you that yes, Christians can and do get depression, panic disorder, fear and other related issues. I've found that in my experience in life and here on the web most people that have these issues come from a background of abuse, molestation, neglect, or other childhood trauma.
Sometimes it's an adult trauma like rape, abortion, or drug abuse, that cause the onset of these illnesses. But there are many that get depression or panic attacks completely "out of the blue" as we say.
You didn't just happen upon my site today. As you read this I think in your heart you know that also. The Lord has led you this way because He has a plan, a purpose, and a way out of the situation you are in!! God has a life already planned out for you, a life filled with love, peace, and joy! You can and you will be, free from panic.
